    叉车电池一般由2V电压的单格电池串联而成24V/36V/48V/72V/80V,称为蓄电池组。在同一个单格电池内,负极板总比正极板多一片。装配时是正负极板交叉穿插。使每片正极板的两面在化学反应中产生等量的生成物,减轻负极板的变形、拱曲,同时还能增加容量。电池隔板是隔在正、负极板之间防止正负极板短路的绝缘体,它有许多孔,可使电解液畅通无阻。电解液过浓将损坏电极板和隔离板,且促使极板硫酸化。电解液过稀,则会使电池的电阻增加,电压迅速下降。蓄电池的电势与电解液的温度有关。蓄电池在运行过程中,严禁缺水,如果因为水位低于极板,则很容易烧坏极板,造成电动叉车电瓶组短路,无法正常工作。纵然后期添加蒸馏水进去,其单体比重也不均匀,已经产生硫化迹象,电瓶储电量大量降低,使用时间缩短。严重会造成整组叉车电池报废。必须注意,在正常使用情况下蓄电池不能放电过度,即不能将行驶电动机及油泵电动机同时工作,否则将会使与活性物质混合在一起的细小硫酸结成较大的结晶,增大极板的电阻,在充电时就难使它还原,妨碍充电过程的进行。叉车司机应该经常注意充电器是否充电电流过大,或者使用车辆是否存在过度放电,如果平时装载1吨的货物,电机输出电流是70A,一下电流输出去到120A,可能电机碳刷已经没用了,增加了输出的电阻,增大了叉车装载电流,时间会缩短。电动叉车电池一般有*保养人员,日常注意事项也要张贴于叉车旁,以提醒。

    一. 日常检查

    1、 液面:每周进行一次液面全检(高温环境下三天左右补一次蒸馏水或去离子水)。如电解液液位太低,将导致电池极板、隔板损坏和电池寿命缩短。液面的观测方法:首先掀开加液帽,在低于加液帽里***底部平台时,表示液面过低应及时补水;在平行或略高于加液帽里***上部平台时,为合适位置。
    2、 接线柱、导线、盖子:必须经常检查电池接线柱接合处、与导线的连接处因氧化引起的腐蚀情况,同时检查盖子是否变形、是否有发热现象。
    3、 外观:电池表面肮脏将引起漏电,应保持电池表面清洁、干燥。

    二、保养
    1、 补水:按规定的液面添加蒸馏水或去离子水,不要为了延长加水间隔时间而添加过多的蒸馏水,加水过多会导致比重下降,溢出电解液,从而腐蚀箱体和电缆线,影响电池使用寿命或漏电。
    2、 充电:充电过程中电池会产生气体,应保持充电场所通风良好,周围没有明火,同时充电过程中产生的氧气、酸性气体将对周围产生影响。充电期间拔下充电插头会产生电弧,应将充电机关闭后方可拔下插头。充电后在电池周围滞留许多氢气,不允许有任何明火,应掀起电池上的盖板进行充电。

    3.均衡充电:电池组应每月进行一次均衡充电(即小电流长时间充电),以保持电池容量和延长电池寿命。
