风帆免维护船用蓄电池以6-CQW-200、6-CQW-195两大型号为主，深循环能力优越，风帆蓄电池品牌在造船界十分有名气，12V200AH多数以船舶柴油发电机启动为主，风帆SAIL免维护型具备1600A的电流，十分够力，船用酸性蓄电池的极板采用铅锑合金制成的栅格式，栅格中压入活性物质。正极板的活性物质是二氧化铅（PbO2），负极板的活性物质是海绵状纯铅。为了增大容量，蓄电池的正极板和负极板都制成好多片，分别并联在一起，接成两组，构成蓄电池的正极和负极。蓄电池的负极板总比正极板多一块，每块正极板夹在两块负极板当中，使正极板两面都起化学反应，产生同样的膨胀和收缩，减少极板弯曲的机会，从而延长了极板使用寿命。隔板的作用是使蓄电池的正、负极板互相绝缘，可用木板、硬橡皮、塑料等制成。为了使电解液能自由地流通，隔板的构造应是多孔的，但是不能使脱落的活性物质经过隔板而与相邻极板接触。碱性蓄电池由于极板活性物质的材料不同，分为铁镍蓄电池、镉镍蓄电池、银锌蓄电池等系列。 船上主要使用 镉镍蓄电池。镉镍蓄电池正极由氧化镍粉、石墨粉组成，石墨主要是用来增强导电性，不参与化学反应。负极由氧化镉粉和氧化铁粉 组成。掺入氧化铁粉的目的是使氧化镉粉具有较高的扩散性， 防止结块，并增强极板的容量。正负极上的这些活性物质分别 包在穿孔钢带中，加压成型后成为正、负极板。正、负极板间 是用耐碱的硬橡胶绝缘棍隔开。为了排灌电解液，在蓄电池外 盖上有一注液口，注液口拧以密闭式的气塞，该气塞能使蓄电 池内部气体排出而防止外部气体进入，并能保证当蓄电池短时翻转时不流出电解液。蓄电池充、放电、电解液的配制、蓄电池的 测量与判断等正确的维护、保养和使用是船舶机 舱管理人员的一项重要的工作。 酸性蓄电池单电池的电压约有2V左右酸性蓄电池的内阻小，适合于大电流放电，故当需用作柴油机起动电源时应采用酸性蓄电池。单个碱性蓄电池的电压一般为1.25V。 碱性蓄电池具有体积小、机械强度高、工作电压 平稳、使用寿命长等特点，因此在远洋船舶上的应用日益广泛。
